Due to its unusual vegetated shingle habitat, Shoreham Beach was declared a Local Nature Reserve (LNR) in 2006. Friends of Shoreham Beach (FoSB) are a group of volunteers with a deep love for the sea and its environs, who are responsible for protecting and educating others about the habitat, its plants and its wildlife.
